Diane Michaud Lowry - Single Image Winner Music/Sports/Dance

While searching the skate park for someone or something to photograph, I noticed a tattooed skater suspended, face down, perpendicular to the ground on a vertical skate ramp. It seemed I’d found both someone and something interesting, but I had to wait to see if he would attempt the ramp again. He did, and after he finished his ride, oblivious of me, he calmly took a drag from the cigarette that he’d been gently holding between the fingers of his left hand as he walked away. His mother saw the image at the State Fair and contacted me. I gave them copies as my thanks for providing me with an excellent subject.
